Advertising cookies

We use advertising tools that allow us to display our ads on other websites you visit, including on social media (so-called targeted ads), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor the content of our messages to you based on the information we have about you.

In the Store, we offer the option to subscribe to our newsletter. As a result, cookies are used to embed the subscription form on our Website and to measure the effectiveness of subscriptions via that form. Modern email marketing systems allow us to combine analytics data from email campaigns with analytics data from the Store. We may use this data to optimize the content of messages sent to newsletter subscribers.

Social Media Plugins and Links

On our website, we’ve included links to our social media profiles: Facebook / Instagram / TikTok / LinkedIn. If you visit our profile on a given platform, the platform’s owner will receive—just as when users click through from any other website to another website—information that you came to that platform from our Store.

Movies

Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from YouTube [a service owned by Google]. When you play such a video on our Website, Google receives this information from your browser, even if you do not have a Google/YouTube account or are not currently logged in. If you have previously logged in to the aforementioned service, that service provider will be able to directly associate the video playback with your profile.

If you want to prevent Google from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you can:

Legal Issues Regarding Cookies

The legal basis for the Store’s use of essential cookies (listed above in the section “What cookies do we use?”) is our legitimate interest, i.e., the right to operate a website that supports our business, and the need to ensure its security.

Our use of cookies, particularly for advertising purposes, may involve what is known as “profiling.” This means that we, or the marketing companies whose services we use, may create a user profile based on the information we have collected (e.g., email address, order history, device type, technology used, frequency of visits) and, based on this, make predictions about future purchases. How long do cookies remain on a user's device?

It depends on whether they are "persistent" or "session" cookies. Providing the above information is not mandatory, but it is necessary to process your order, issue an invoice, notify you of your order status, respond to your inquiry or complaint, etc.

How long do we process data?

We process your data related to placing an order in the Store for as long as necessary to fulfill the order, as well as in accordance with accounting and tax regulations.

In addition, we will process your data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes listed in the table above (and therefore until our legitimate interest in processing the data ceases, or until you object to the processing, or until you withdraw your marketing consent—if you have provided it to us). Further processing will be possible only if we, as the data controller, are subject to a legal obligation to do so (in particular for tax purposes) and, where applicable, for archival purposes to protect ourselves against potential claims (until such claims become time-barred).

Who do we share your data with?

In the course of our business, we use the services of other partner companies, which is why we may share your data with: the company that provides us with the software to operate the Store, our accounting firm, our website’s hosting provider, our email hosting provider, our email marketing system provider, and other companies whose services and marketing tools we use. Your data is also shared with courier companies and, if applicable, payment processors to fulfill your order; these companies are separate controllers of personal data.

For the purposes of the marketing activities described above in the “Cookies” section, we use services provided by entities based in the U.S. (Google, Facebook). Consequently, personal data may be transferred to third countries that are not members of the European Union. request access from us to the data we hold about you;
to correct your personal data;
to have your data deleted if it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was processed, or if we have no other legal basis for processing it;

to object to the processing of your data if we process it based on a legitimate interest;

Additional Information for Newsletter Subscribers

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will send you marketing information about our products and/or services, such as new additions to our lineup, promotions, or special offers.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link included in every newsletter or simply by sending us a message.

A modern email marketing system allows us to analyze recipient behavior—that is, it tells us whether you’ve opened a particular message. We analyze this information to better tailor the content of our newsletters and notifications to your interests and to send you personalized messages (profiling). You may object to this processing of your data by us at any time. If a subscriber remains inactive for 1 year, we may stop sending them the newsletter. In that case, we will remove you from our subscriber list (with prior notice).

We do not use your data to make decisions based on automated data processing that could affect your legal situation or have other similarly significant consequences for you.

ANALYTICAL COOKIES:

We use Google Analytics

The information that Google Analytics collects about users includes, for example: how many times a user visits the site; which pages the user visits; the date of the first and last visits; the duration of visits; the page from which the user visited the website (referrer); the browser the user is using; the link that was clicked; the user’s geographic location; and the anonymized (truncated) IP address, etc.
Google assigns each user a unique identifier (known as a Google ID) and collects data from cookies on various websites on its servers. We—as the owner of the Website—may receive reports (statistics) from Google relating exclusively to traffic on our Website. We use Hotjar

This tool records data regarding user behavior on the Website, such as: how users navigate the site, page scrolling, cursor movement, approximate location, device used, operating system, and browser type. The data collected in this way is processed in an aggregated and anonymized manner—so that we can improve the functionality of our Website.

Cookies from our Store's software provider

The software provider that powers our Store—i.e., the owner of the shoper.pl platform—places cookies on our Website to collect aggregate information about how customers use online stores (subpages visited and time spent on them, products viewed, clicks on the Store’s website, and analytical information regarding purchases, such as conversion rates).
This data is used to create aggregate reports for online store owners, containing general (non-personal) information about, among other things, which products interest a given store’s customers, during which time of year there is increased traffic or sales in stores, etc. This allows sellers (including us) to improve their stores and optimize their sales processes.

ADVERTISING COOKIES

We use Google Ads and other Google advertising tools

Google collects data on its servers from cookies placed on your device. This data is collected on all websites where you have consented to Google’s use of cookies for advertising purposes (including our Website), as well as from ads you have clicked on. Google uses this information to display ads on other websites you visit. Cookies from Google typically expire after 3 months.
As advertisers using Google’s services, we do not have access to cookie data stored on your device, but we can target ads to audience groups with characteristics we select, such as all people who have visited our website (or a specific page on it) within the last 7 days. Meta Conversion Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)

We use Meta's "conversion pixel" (remarketing pixel) to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram.
If you consent to the use of this cookie on our Website, Meta Platforms’ services will use this tool to receive information indicating that you have visited our Website. This information is associated with your profile on the respective service, if you have one. If you are not a user of these services, the information is associated with a so-called “Facebook ID” created for you.
This allows us to run ads on Facebook and Instagram targeting people who have already visited our website or specific pages on it (remarketing). This information is associated with your LinkedIn profile, if you have one. If you are not a user of this service, the information will be associated with a so-called “LinkedIn ID” created for you.
